Originally from Branford, CT...
Nadia is the strange brew of a psychiatrist from Texas and a Russian Princess/ German Duchess pediatrician. Growing up, she was a dancer as well as an athlete, mainly a swimmer and tennis player. But, when she was cast in West Side Story at age 15 at Branford High, seeds were planted.
She went on to Dartmouth College thinking she would go into Environmental Studies. But, she ended up with a Major in Sociology, a Minor in French, and a few semesters on the rugby team. Her last year there, although she was a part of the women's theater group, "The Untamed Shrews," she was always envious of the Drama majors. She decided to mainly take acting classes while writing her thesis in Sociology. During this time, buoyed by the encouragement of one teacher in particular, she decided to take her first steps toward an acting career.
Three days after she graduated college, she moved to San Francisco to do A.C.T's Summer Training Congress. A summer turned into two years of acting classes, plays, and dance concerts in a city that encouraged her exploration. After two years there, Nadia decided she wanted more intensive training. She moved back east to attend graduate school at Tisch: NYU's Graduate Acting Program.
She works in theater, television, film, and as a voiceover artist. Nadia is also a writer. In the works: a feature horror movie, "H," and a memoir about her sister.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
